overwhelming love!!!

a card from my aceo series
sold earlier this year.

Happy Friday everyone!! So many wonderful things have been happening!! Beginning with fabulous blog friends. The oh-so-sweet and talented Kari and Kijsa toasted me on their blog today! I adore everything about these wonderful & super creative sisters. Run...don't walk...to go peek at their inspiring blog! They also just announced they opened an etsy shop! Yippeee for us! Visit them here!

Yesterday I curated a treasury on etsy that made it to the front page. It was SO cool! Things were selling off my list like hotcakes. I got the sweetest notes from a couple of the sellers and I was so thrilled for them. They were all very deserving shops indeed! I have a screen shot, but it's in the form of a PDF and I don't know how to show that here. sooooo, pictures to follow soon. THEN, the next treasury to make the front page had ME in it! My first time having a little piece of noodle and lou on the front page of etsy!! (pictures to follow of that one too!!!) I felt like I won the treasury lottery yesterday. And, seriously, if you are an etsy treasury addict like me...you'll understand:) Thank you to the sweet humblebea for including my funky little couple in her treasury!!!

Then, I received a delightful treat in the mail today!! Liz from primoriginals and I did a trade of prints and look how adorable hers is!! She has more for sale over at her shop:) I really love it. Thank you Liz!!

Then, I got my hair colored and cut today. Love the way he cut it. It's so funky and fun! And it's always a happy day when the gray goes bye bye!!! Jake took a picture of my hair, but I think I'm too chicken to put it up here. hmmmmm. Maybe I'll change my mind later...

I have lots of commissions to finish up this weekend! I really had to take a bit of a break the past couple days. My husband is out of town and I've been weeded with stuff with the boys and the house. I finally gave my little neglected house some love yesterday. Cleaned the whole thing and started pulling out Christmas decorations. I LOVE my Christmas decorations. Each one I pull from the box is like seeing an old friend again...love it.

Happy weekend everyone! I'll be back soon...after I figure out how to post these photos for you!

5 random things about me...

The very sweet and talented Lulu (and you KNOW how I love the name Lulu!!!!) has tagged me to tell you 5 random things about little old me. (go visit her blog...she has such a fabulous spirit and creates the most adorable work!) This is so hard. I'm not good at this kind of sharing. I'll try though. Grab a cup of tea and let's dive in to the world of Jenn! HA!
okay...

5 random (and hopefully slightly interesting) things about me!

  • I kept my maiden name after I was married. Chris (my hubby of 10 years:) ) was so supportive about it and it's just who I am:)

  • I've had many "interesting" jobs! (Probably even more why I'm so thrilled and thankful to be doing what I'm doing now!! YAY!!) I worked for Bob Evans Restaurant my senior year of high school. I was a vegetarian and I had to sell sausage...it was so gross! My uniform was a wrap around maroon polyester skirt, ruffle shirt, tan pantyhose and a hair net. seriously! I worked for a funky clothing boutique in Atlanta while also bussing tables at a fine dining restaurant. (I was TERRIBLE! I was always dropping the big huge tray when I had to walk through those scary swinging doors!) I BRIEFLY modeled wedding dresses while in Atlanta. I worked for Estee Lauder for 5 years. I was a "better sportswear" department manager for a big dept. store. I was a bartender while my husband was in grad school (I can make a mean dirty martini!)

  • I love being by the water. I love going to the beach. I love the feel of the sand on my feet. I love searching for sea glass and just sitting still and watching the waves. However, I will NOT go in the water! I am scared to DEATH of sharks. Seriously petrified. Just typing it makes me feel sick! Stupid Jaws movies!!

  • I bite my nails.

  • I love decorating! I'm constantly moving furniture around and rearranging shelves and dresser tops. It's strange...on one hand I am so much like the "Monica" character from the show "Friends". ...Like super obsessive compulsive about where things go. I notice if the couch has been moved over an inch. (get a life, right!!??) On the other hand, I can step over the same mixed pile of dirty clothes/toys/& God only knows what else... on my bedroom floor 3 days in a row. Some things you just gotta let go! Having kids has taught me that for sure.

  • BONUS FACT! I just thought of an extra one...I have 2 (hidden) tattoos...a daisy and a heart. Usually when someone finds out, they tell me I don't seem like the "type" of person that would have a tattoo? I have no idea what that means!

Hooray, I did it. (Good thing there wasn't a time limit) Hope it wasn't complete snore-ville!! Because she JUST started her blog, I am going to tag the talented Liz to share some tidbits with us!!

I'll leave you with a few pieces that sold the past couple days on etsy:) Thank you so much!! The support I've received this month is just incredible and a dream come true. xoxoxo

This little couple is still available over at my etsy shop!

Thanks for taking a little time out to read my funny little facts! I love when you guys visit me. See you soon:) xoxoxo...jenn

speed of lightning...

(new collage...EIGHT FABULOUS WOMEN...on etsy now!
this one took me forever...but I love their little personalities!)

Isn't Christmas just speeding towards us, like a freight train that has come off the tracks!? I haven't even decorated the house yet! It is very difficult, for a scatter brain like me, to choose what to complete each day. Do I clean the house today? Do I drag out the decorations? Do I work on new collages? You get the idea. Some (I said "some" people!) days I can do it all. Some days I don't finish a single thing...and that's just the nature of my little corner of the world! Today I hope to finish 2 collages and ship off all the goodies that sold over the weekend. I truly have the MOST lovely customers. Each one is sweeter than the next!! I really feel like I am the luckiest girl in the world to have the support of all of you...Thank you, Thank you, Thank YOU!! Wishing you all (and myself!) a creative and productive day!!

giving thanks...

well, yesterday was a busy day! I felt so sick still with this gross cold thing?? It's the cold that never goes away... Anyways, we cooked up a storm and had lots of yummy food. Jake did a fabulous job helping with the stuffing.

Henry even helped too!

Of course every picture of the food that I took did not come out! Santa, if you are reading this, I could use a really nice camera! It all looked so beautiful too...grrrrr. But I did get some cute photos of the boys. Here's what Henry ate for dinner.

seriously, nothing.

The rest of us, however, pigged out on sweet potato casserole, corn and squash casserole, Grandma's green beans, stuffing, cranberries...and some of us had turkey. Poor Chris had begged me to buy a whole turkey this year (YUCK). He said, "make sure it has wings and legs". I agreed and managed to pick out a small turkey without fainting. Guess what? I just bought the breast! I swear I didn't even know! He's like..."you didn't notice when you were holding it that it didn't have wings or legs?". In which I responded..."ummm...I wasn't feeling it...I was just trying to get it into the cart without touching it too much!" Poor Chris...I did feel bad, but he enjoyed it anyway. I'm not even a vegetarian (I was for many years..but started eating meat again during my 1st pregnancy)...I just really don't like meat. And the idea of eating meat off a bone...don't get me started!! I did try a bite of the turkey and Chris did an excellent job. (good job honey...sorry you couldn't chew on a turkey leg).

here's a couple pictures of my little turkeys:

(that cadillac sticker across their car cracks me up)

Bye for now:) Hope you all had a lovely day! Even with the whining, screaming, punching, light sabering, sneezing and coughing...we did! We have alot to be thankful for...

This little guy kept insisting it was his birthday all day! BUT...it was actually Chris' birthday this past Sunday! awwww...Happy Birthday Chris!! We had a really nice relaxing day just hanging out at the house. We had a yummy meal out and then lots of Birthday cake!! (I'm totally wanting another piece right now and it is 1:15 am...NOT good!!!)
I finished a few paintings and will be putting them up on ebay Tuesday night. YAY!! One is a long wooden plaque that I've been meaning to finish foreeeever! I also just listed this fun little group of sisters...you can peek at them by clicking right here!

Things here at elf station (formerly known as my desk) are moving right along! It's just soooo much stuff...everywhere! It's pretty fun though:) I'm so grateful to be selling my little art and I know I'm lucky to have the space that I do! I'm just dreaming of a big huge Martha Stewart type craft room/studio space. Who am I kidding? There would still be stuff everywhere!
yes, those are stacking cups from Henry's baby days that I am using for containers! And look at those poor Christmas ornaments begging to be finished!!
The latest addition to my mini month series is up for auction here. Little Miss December and her adorable snowman. I think this is #6 in the series...6 more to go!

Off to bed for me! Thanks for visiting!! xoxoxo...jenn

i sure could use some elves...

why should Santa get all the elves? If only I had just a few to help me with my packaging...I would be in SO much better shape! I'm also finishing up a couple commission orders and new paintings this weekend too. As usual...going in way too many different directions;) I just added a couple new art cards to ebay...you can find them here.

This little primitive angel headed off to ebay yesterday too. Her auction ends next Wednesday and you can find her here!

AND...I'm going to add some new little stocking stuffer type treats to etsy tonight! They are so cute! I just love how they look:)

Sorry to be so brief! I'm off to the paper pile to snip, snip, snip!! Enjoy the rest of your weekends!! Next week is Thanksgiving...can you believe it!!!!??? Big Hugs...

xoxoxoxo...jenn

a new day...

thank you susan, coco and michele for your sweet well wishes! I am feeling much better as I write this. my little henry is still pretty sick and we spent a couple hours at the doctor again today. Which caused me to miss Anna Maria on Martha Stewart today!! I was so exited to see her live on tv too!!! I hope I can watch it online?? I'll have to go look later. Anyways...do you ever feel like you are worst off going to the Dr. in the 1st place? It was packed...1 girl touched Henry's head, then announced after her exam was over that she had strep. hmmmm...fabulous. Then another girl that did everything but crawl into my son's mouth comes out and says she was just throwing up and that she has the flu. Seriously folks...we walk in with asthma and upper resp. stuff and leave exposed to the flesh eating disease. HELP! I just hate going to the pediatrician's office. I know, I know...you can get the same crud from any place. There's just something about sitting in a small, warm office with a sea of coughing, sneezing, puking children that makes me a bit uneasy... All right, this has taken a really gross turn. I wanted to post about my new collage! oh my gosh...I just went to get the link and my collage already SOLD! Thank you sweet, sweet Holly!!! My sweet little couple picking out a tree! And I got my order of stocking stuffer goodies in!!! Mirrors, pins and magnets!! I will be packaging my behind off to get them all ready to sell for the weekend! They will all be offered on etsy and I'll update you again when they are ready to roll! I did list a few of the pocket mirrors. You can find them here and here ! There will just be these 2 styles in the mirrors. Thank you Vanessa at the Promo Shop for my order!

I got something else super exciting in the mail!! My ADORABLE postcards from the super talented Vanessa at A Fanciful Twist ! I love, love, love them! I wish I had a cute little package like that waiting for me every day:) I'm off to catch up on some work. I'm going in a billion different directions!! xoxoxo..jenn

sick day...

We're havin' a sick day here at the noodle and lou house! Henry, Jake and I are all sick with a cruddy, cruddy cold. So...besides packing up 9 things to mail today (seriously 9 things!!! even with a cold I'm doing the happy dance about that!!! THANK YOU sweet buyers!!)...we are watching movies and sipping tea or cocoa!! It is so cold and rainy out and we are all just nestled in our blankets on the couch. I was absolutely miserable yesterday...but today I feel a bit more human. Here's hoping tomorrow is a crud free day!

I did manage to get this new little painting listed on Sunday:) Let Us Gather Together is up for auction over at ebay and can be found here .
See you all soon...I'm heading back to the couch:) xoxoxo..jenn

winter treats...

thank you SO much for all your wonderful comments and banner love:) What did I do before this blog!? I am really inspired by all the support you guys give me. ThAnK yOu!! soooo...I just got these 2 little ornaments listed over on ebay! You can find them here ! I have lots more of them in the works and hope to have them ALL finished by next weekend. I also had the GRAND idea to sew some little ornaments today. argggghhh. My poor little teeny sewing machine seriously needs to be replaced...it took me forever just to get 2 finished. The idea was to do some little handpainted faces on muslin and attach them to funky fabric. Sounds easy enough, right!? I also stitched my "label" on the back with collage paper. Anyways...here's one little lady:) I love her anyway!

Last night I finished my new Winter collage... SOLD...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I'll be adding it to my etsy shop tonight:) Told ya I was the frantic collage lady:) Guess what? There's more too! Stay tuned!!

I also wanted to quickly share some goodies my Mom bought for me while she was visiting. I was so excited about all of them!! Thanks Mom...xoxoxox!! Don't you love my vintagey metal laundry basket on wheels!? And of course I simply adore my new folk art dolls! The Nicol Sayre pumpkin lady is SO special and will stay out ALL the time. And Little Miss Polkadot skirt girl is SOO me!! Thank you so much Mom...it was so fun to have you here...and thanks to my Dad too...who had to stay home and hold down the fort while Mom was here playing:)

Enjoy the rest of your weekends!! xoxox..jenn
