My 2 new paintings were really fun to work on. I used lotsa layers of vintage French and English text within layers of acrylic paints. I loved the whole process and am so happy with the yummy texture!! I kept the colors very neutral with raw black lines.

I also added my 2 little Valentine Girl Cones! This was something totally new for me and I loved making them! I used more vintage text (when do I not!!??) paints, ric rac, buttons and wire...topped it off with some pink shred and VOILA! The sweetest little Valentine...that you can leave out all year!
Here's a peek at my new mini canvases too! They can be found over on ebay until the beginning of next week.

So wonderful! Your work is so amazing! I kept thinking about one you did awhile back of a mother and daughter and decided I wanted to try something similar of my daughter and me--and now I love yours even more! Greater appreciation I think!

My goodness, I feel I've accomplished something if I get a load of wash done - then I come take a look and you've got all of these great projects done! I really like your two new paintings, I thought that you had used oils at first - they have a dreamy old-time look. The cones are cute, do you plan on doing them seasonally?
Oh, I love, love, love your creations!! The buttons are perfect a perfect compliment to your girls dress and your cone pieces are absolutely charming.
