5 random things and a shop update!!

hooray for the weekend!! I love not having to pack lunches or pick out school clothes. We take our Saturday mornings very seriously around the noodle and lou house;) So, while I'm looking forward to my lazy, coffee filled morning tomorrow...I have things to share with you!

I mentioned before that sweet, sweet Lillian tagged me the other day to name 5 random things about little old me. (here I am in my favorite red sneakers with my red trike...3 years old)

1. I love daisies. They are my favorite flower!!

2. The best concert I ever went to was at Chastain Park in Atlanta (a fabulous outdoor amphitheatre) with my Aunt Connie to see Natalie Merchant. She was AMAZING and to top it off Michael Stipe came on stage and sang with her!!! I can't believe it but this was about 15 years ago! ooooh...another great concert moment was when I went to the 1st Lollapalooza (in 1991!!) and saw Siouxsie and the Banshees. FAB-U-LOUS!!

3. People always say I look just like Elizabeth McGovern.

4. My favorite show on earth is Project Runway. I am obsessed and have adored it from the very 1st episode. Probably because I always dreamed of attending Parsons and becoming a fashion designer like my idol Betsey Johnson!!!

5. I played the flute all through school. I completely regret not keeping up with it. I also played piccolo and, briefly, the french horn. I took piano long enough to learn Fur Elise and played it over and over and over until people probably wanted to hurt me;)

How's that for random! I think I have to tag some people now or is it just 1 person? I'm really bad at this. Okay...I tag Tracy at The Vintage Sister because she loves Giselle Potter like me:)

I'm finishing up a few things and thought I would have a little shop update tomorrow. SO...

We must have been separated at birth because we love the same things, in fact I almost fell off my chair, because I was going to post yesterday that one of my major influences is Giselle Potter! LOVE her! we have several of her books......another favorite is Maira
kalman...do you know her? I am sure you probably do!
I also made some of those little clay houses too awhile back, they're fun to do!
Hope you have a great day!

Hey Jenn. Your random things are great! I was just listening to 10,000 Maniacs this morning with my boys. Thanks for tagging me! It will be my first. I will try my best to think of 5 interesting things but it will probably end up being 5 relatively boring things...we'll see:) Have a great weekend!

Hey! You stole my bike!! I had a red one just like that :) I bet you've got my white and blue glitter banana seat bike as well.
Awfully cute pictuure. I love Natalie Merchant and I saw her once with Chris Issak. REM has/was always been my second favorite band, so to have seen Stipe and Merchant together would've been awesome! And Siouxsie?!?! Love her (Christine is the best song ever..hehe). My husband went to Coachella a few years ago and she was plying with Chemical brothers Bjork, etc. and he had no idea who she was. One of these days I'm gonna see her. So many of those bands quit before I could ever see them.
Cant wait to see you latest update. Good luck!

I just love how these little tidbits are being revealed. Now I'm picturing you all dolled up in a little Betsy Johnson dress dancing around to Siouxsie and the Banshees.
Adorable!!!...as is all of the new artwork.

Love your work! And we share a common name in our "random list"--I went to college with Michael Stipe.
Best wishes~
