new art...

Oh my gosh...I am SO overwhelmed (in a good way, of course!!) by the response to my OWOH giveaway!!

Thank you so much to all of you that have signed up and left me such sweet notes! I was trying to personally respond to each of you in the beginning but got way too behind. If I didn't respond to you...please know how APPRECIATIVE I am that you stopped by. And thank you to all of my fellow participants too! It's gonna take me awhile...but I promise to visit ALL of your blogs!!

Last week was really a tough one...horrible things seem to happen in clusters....you know?? One good thing was that I had my spot of skin cancer successfully removed. The big, big key is to catch it early!! Make sure you are all getting those annual skin checks!! Lucky me gets to go every 6 months now:):) Okay...that is my public service announcement for the day:)

I didn't get as much painting finished as I hoped...but I did get 3 new paintings done...

UPDATED 2/14/08
AFTER MUCH THOUGHT...I DECIDED THAT I REALLY
WASN'T ABLE TO DEVOTE ENOUGH TIME AND MONEY
TO THE Folk Art WEBSITE. I WISH ALL THE ARTISTS THERE
THE VERY BEST!! I'LL BE FOCUSING MY TIME ON MY ETSY
AND EBAY SHOPS FOR NOW!!
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!!!

"chick ride" (8x10)

"sweet bird" (5x7)

and "home" (24x8)
There is still time to sign up for my giveaway!! I'll be drawing the winner the morning of Valentine's Day:):) Thank you again to all my lovely blog friends! Happy Monday...

Whoa! Back up..you have/had skin cancer? I missed that one. I hope you're doing well. That's awfully scary. I had a skin biopsy last year after I had a rash that hadn't gone away. Nothing but an allergic reaction to something. Hope you feel better.
Beautiful paintings! I especially like the warmer/antique colors:) Have a wonderful Monday.

Your new pieces are beautiful! Hoping this week is better for you---you have a lot on your plate, especially with an upcoming move. Be gentle with yourself and savor the sweet things that come your way! Your bird painting is inspiring me to do some springtime paintings---seems like it will be ages before it comes!:)

Jen, lovely new work. Always a pleasure to see. And I know what you mean about bad things....last week I had the scare of my life. My doc sent me to a radiologist for a breast lump. Turned out to be nothing but all I could think about were my kids. Scariest 24 hours of my life. I hope everyone is doing their breast checks, too!

I had skin cancer, twice, in 2007, so I know how your feeling! I have learned, other then the big Melanoma, all the other types are very treatable, and something to overcome~
Take care, and I adore these new pieces!
