lulu's year of the rat event

The lovely and talented lulu, over at my pink turtle, hosted a fun Year of the Rat event. Celebrating the Chinese New Year...participants could create some sort of rat art! Well...my Chinese sign is the rat....so I thought I would try it. For some reason I thought of making a little clay rat and a Chinese pagoda for her to live in. Needless to say, this was a much too lofty ambition...so no Chinese pagoda. Just Miss Rat:) Thanks Lulu!! I can't wait to see everybody's Rats. (Bet that's not a sentence spoken too often!) I am having a super hard time getting a good photo!!
Not sure how Chinese a cone hat is...but why not!? Just for fun...here's a few facts about the Chinese Rat's characteristics from Susan White's "The New Chinese Astrology". Let's see how accurately these describe me!

"Rats are charming, protective, compassionate, communicative, dynamic, familial, thrifty, skilful, sober, upright, attractive (hahahahaha), idealistic, prosperous, experimental, calm, sensual, loving, talented, adaptable, open minded, brilliant entrepreneurs." It also says our favorite flower is a daisy (true!) and our lucky number is 11 and that "we are leadership freaks" and "constantly on the run". So hysterical! Cheers to my fellow charming rats:)
