happy sunday...

one of my paintings from 2007...

Hope you are all having a beautiful Sunday! I found a little time to myself to work. I'm so behind on several projects...and I'm feeling quite motivated to finish them all...TODAY! So...I'm sitting here at my little desk under the sloped roof...listening to my favorite sweet Kate Bush. And since blogger is not letting me embed a video at this moment...you can click here to take a peek at one of my favorites. That's a really emotional one...so if you are looking for one a little less tear jerking-ey...try here;) ooooh...I love her!!!

i like teeny houses, tall houses and peonies...

just poppin' in to show you some sneak peeks of the shop update goodies:) also...I am in the market for a printer! yipppppeeeee!! Does anyone have advice on a great printer?? I'm so confused at all the choices!! I really want to offer prints in my shop. I think I want an Epson...the 3800 pro is soooooo expensive (for me at least!!)...but maybe worth it?? What about the Epson 1400? I don't think good enough??? If anyone has any thoughts I would be so grateful:):):) okay...enough of the chit chat for now;) here's the goods...

5 new lulette houses
and 2 new little lulette birdies...

and remember the treat I painted for myself a while back?? well, my huge, tall skinny house had a baby! I painted a house just like mine on a smaller chunk of repurposed wood! It measures 23 1/2 inches long and about 4 1/2 inches wide.

the vintage text scraps say "Then imagine our joy when we saw from afar the little inn in which we were to spend the night." This might be my favorite little passage ever. Isn't it cute? And the coolest thing is that it is not a copy...it's the real text from a 1912 French text book...so one of a kind for sure:)

Lastly...my Aunt was just telling me that my cousin and his fiance are having peonies at their wedding in June (I'm so excited to go!!). This...along with my desperate need for Spring to BE HERE NOW...inspired these little floral paintings.

little vintage scraps say "what pretty flowers you have" and "Where is your beautiful garden?" Hope you ALL have a fabulous weekend and thanks so much for checking out my shop update!

I'm heading over at 9:00 pm (EST) tonight!!

catching up...

Hello my dear friends! Hope your Easter weekends were lovely. The boys had a fun Easter Egg Hunt. Even though it was 40 degrees...not too Spring-ey...at least there was no snow on the ground!!!

We also colored lots of Easter Eggs! Henry went for the "let's plop 'em all in at once" method. It actually worked quite nice:)

I finally had a bit of time to catch up on MOST of my blog reading last night! The more blogs that I find that I love...the harder it is to keep up with them all!! Does anyone else have this problem. I'm sure you must! There is just so much beautiful eye candy out there in blog land and I can get QUITE lost in it!!! What did we do just a few short years ago!? It is absolutely amazing the fabulous people you can connect with!! 2 of these fabulous people happened to have asked me to create some special paintings for them. After falling out of my chair...because they are just that fabulous...and agonizing over what to paint...I'm so O.C.D about these things...I came up with the following: Of course I should mention that these are for the oh so inspiring and super talented and lovely sisters Kari and Kijsa ! I'm sure you already know and love them!!! And if you don't...well, run right over to their blog and etsy shop and prepare to be deeeelighted.

Thanks so much you 2 sweet peas for being so patient and fabulous:)
I've actually been working on several commission orders over the past few weeks. I absolutely love doing commission work and creating extra special pieces for special people...but you may have noticed (she says with complete sarcasm) my ebay and etsy shops have been sorely neglected;) I do have a fresh batch of Lulette houses almost ready to list and a couple new floral paintings! I'll be sneaking over to the shop tomorrow night...Thursday...to add a few things. I know. SO last minute and I do apologize for that!!! Don't worry I will give you much better notice for the next update and I'll make it a nice, big, juicy one:)
So...maybe I will see you tomorrow night!!

sunny yellow...

My hubby brought these home for me the other day from work. Hello spring! His work was participating in The American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days. Click on the link to find out how to participate in your area. Buying these beautiful and sunny daffodils help raise funds and awareness to help fight cancer. On their website they say "as the first flower of spring, the daffodil is a symbol of hope." I love that...
Hope you are having a happy weekend:) My next post is the big 100th celebration! So stay tuned for a special giveaway and some other fun!!!! xoxoxoxo...jenn

When I first started selling on ebay I used to paint a "collage series" called "my favorite things"! I even did a few for my sweet cousin Shannon for her sorority sisters! Hi Shannon!! I would show you a picture...but that was when I used to take pictures with my camera...run to CVS...upload them to a disc and run back home to put it in my computer. Seriously. How on EARTH did I do that!!?? If you happen to own one of my favorite things paintings from 2005...please, please say hi! I will pass out that you are still with me;) Anyhooooo...I decided to do a 2008 version. I just love the way they came out:) SO girly and fun...

new Easter section at cafepress!

A few peeks at some new Easter goodies over at my cafepress shop. There are also bibs, onesies, tiles, etc! I'm still working on adding a few more things. If you have a special request for an image on a specific item...just let me know and I'll add it for you! I can't believe how fast Easter has snuck up on me!

I'm working on some new larger pieces. I had some plaque type boards that I'm repurposing into some art plaques! Here's a peek at one in the "early stages"...

I also had a fresh new batch of teeny Lulette houses come out of the oven today! I'll be painting them up this weekend:)

I did manage to COMPLETE something;) and I'll be adding this little Spring canvas to the noodle and lou shop right now! It has a fine crackle finish to it...and lots of Spring-ey muted colors:) The vintage text snippet says "at home". My favorite place to be!

I finally got a picture of my little cutie from Susan's new shop... A Walk In The Park Art. Isn't that a fun name!? I put my little Bead Head Girl with my papier mache heads...they are having a lovely time hanging out in the polka dot pitcher:) Thank you Susan...she is the perfect little addition to my house!!!

Mr. Duck says Goodnight! (I don't know who made this little guy, but my parents bought it for Henry's 1st birthday:) He is such a cutie!!) Hope you all have a lovely weekend!!
