21 day challenge

I signed up for Carmen's 21 day challenge...did you!? I knew I had to do it when I read her challenge for herself. Drink more water! Hello. Sign me up. I certainly am not holding myself accountable for being the most dehydrated person with access to water...so maybe YOU guys can hold me to it!! Seriously. beach day...

Happy Sunday to you all! We have been enjoying the MOST gorgeous day ever! We made a trip to our local little beach. It is a private beach for the residents of our little village and is ALWAYS empty! We love this beach so much and pretty much go everyday in the Spring and Summer:) I will seriously miss this little beach on the Long Island Sound when we move to Chicago!! Anyways...I made you a little rock girl:) Note how even my rock people have flip hairdos:):)

Jake's favorite spot is the rocky corner where all the crabs hang out!

Here's a teeny crab saying hello! Good thing crabs can't read...look at Jake's shirt! He wore his Claws Snack Shack tee shirt! Don't worry little buddy...we won't eat you!

and Henry's favorite thing to do is to throw rocks:)

These little metal containers can hold a little gift or hang out on a door knob or nail! They measure 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches (not including the handle!) The top of the handle has a bunch of funky ribbons and a noodle and lou tag:) Oh! and I've covered the edges and sides in lotsa sparkly mica!! See you guys soon!! xoxo...jenn

and brand new prints! These teeny cuties are mounted on wood blocks...the sides are painted black and the whole thing sealed with a semi-gloss sealer! I LOVE how these turned out!! They look like an original! I've started with the 4x4's ...but look for 6x6 and 6x12's coming soon too!

trips, shows and walk/runs...

Poppin' in for a quick hello! My husband Chris finally returned from his week long trip to upstate NY. He was there for business ...but stopped in Cooperstown along the way. The town looks really cute and quaint. I love old towns like this. He spent the day at the Baseball Hall of Fame...Chris is a HUGE baseball fan...so this is sacred ground:)

He also had the chance to visit Niagara Falls...which he described as completely surreal. What an amazing sight...

My little lou (aka...Henry) had his art show yesterday. HOW CUTE! The kids showed off their fabulous artwork that they have been working on in art class over the past couple months.

And Jake ran in his school's annual Walk/Run Event! Go Jake! It was in the 50's yesterday...overcast, drizzling...SOOOO cold! But the kids did really great!!!

I've been working away on a really special commission...here's a SNEAK peek and I'll give you details after it is complete:)

rain, rain you made my day!

Yes...it's raining, it's pouring and I couldn't be MORE thrilled! The rain not only makes my little flowers happy...

(yes! I figured out the new camera...more on that below!)

but it means 2 outdoor events I was supposed to be at today were cancelled!! yipppeeeee! Okay, that sounds awfully mean of me...but I am tired. Henry has a cold. My husband has been out of town all week and did I mention I'm tired? Jake had a Walk/Run event at school this morning...now postponed until Monday. ****smile**** Baseball game tonight at the coldest, windiest field you will ever visit...cancelled. ****smile**** NOW...I can stay in my comfy, warm, cozy house and make a normal dinner and get some work done tonight!! yipppppeeee! It's the little things folks:)


Onto my new camera. This is pathetic...but I told you I was technologically challenged so maybe you won't make TOO much fun of me. I was trying to plug the webcam USB thing into my camera...that's why it was way too big. ummmm, yeah. So, once I figured that minor detail out...I loaded the new software and uploaded my pictures...but only some showed up??? Explain that one to me!? Regardless, I was still pretty excited! I need to find a big block of time (hahaha) to sit down with the manual and learn how to use the thing correctly! anyhooooo...Here are a few things I've been workin' on...

and the hardest thing of all?? Getting used to my new glasses!!! I haven't worn glasses in probably 15 years and was really struggling lately with reading, computer, painting...close up stuff. It is so hard getting used to wearing these things!!

wow...this is the picture I choose to show you!? At least I could have grabbed some lipstick..eek. Moving on... Jake's school had a wonderful art show the other night. I enjoy it so much every year! The kids make the MOST amazing things. Their creations are so pure and so inspiring!!! Kindergartners all the way to 5 th graders display their lovely work. Here are some of my favorites from the younger kids!!

baby pansies for a happy wednesday

So I took the best pictures, with my new camera, of my baby pansies to wish you a happy wednesday...but guess what!? I can't figure out how to upload them! I am so technologically challenged. I thought my hubby said I could use the same USB thingey as my old one...but that is clearly NOT fitting! sooooo...here are some pics. of my baby pansies with Mr. Old Camera...not really a good photo at all. But the message is still the same:):) Happy Wednesday!!

Throughout the day I will be listing some prints in my little shop! The 2 cone hat gals are already over there! I wanted to do some smaller prints of them...but then thought of attaching them to note cards. You can either frame them or give them! I don't know about you...but I love to frame cards!!

edit: Lil' Sheila and Pink Dress, Striped Tights Prints have made their way to the shop now too!

I'm off to tackle my day. No baseball, no appointments, no schedule today!! Yippppeee:) I forgot to show you a picture of the Mother's Day present I made for my Mom. I sculpted this Mother dollie for her...she is holding a little nest and she hangs on the wall:) (wow...another crummy picture...sorry!)
