wednesday and thursday are the big moving days you guys!! I added a couple more moving sale goodies on etsy and I will be closing up the lil' noodle and lou shop on Tuesday morning (7/29). I also will not have access to my email and blog for awhile during the move. Thank you oooodles for all your wonderful comments and well wishes! Moving is such a stressful time and you guys have all made it a bit more bearable:):) We are excited to get settled into our new home! it's not a huge update you guys...but i do have a couple lulette couples...a couple wall sculptures including another Frida one...and i probably have a few more tricks up my sleeve!! work is such a needed escape from all the other stuff going on. i loved diving right back in to the clay & paint as soon as i got home from chicago:):)

i spent most of today sorting through stuff and cleaning. i have an appointment for ANOTHER survey from the mover tomorrow. we are dealing with a relocation company for our move and we have to get the weight down on our estimate so that my husband's new employer will approve the move. YIKES. can you believe we are moving in a matter of days and there are still things like this up in the air?? so cuckooooo. then...my realtor in Illinois called and said the check we overnighted yesterday never arrived today. seriously people. i won't bore with you all the other silly things going on;) the good thing about cleaning stuff out (again) is that i was able to get some photos of all the rooms in the house before they are packed away! i just have to take some pics. of the upstairs and the yard and then i'll take you all on a farewell tour of our teeny Long Island home:)

Meanwhile i will show you the pictures of those crazy bulletin boards that I made at Jake's school...remember those!? Coco...I didn't forget...I'm just way slow;):):):) Well, sweet Tracy from The Vintage Sister Studio sent me the most wonderful photos that I was able to use in one of the bulletin boards, so I'm sending her a special treat!!!

back from chicago

i made it back! i had such a busy few days, my head is still spinning!!! my mom met me in Chicago and was such a HUGE help. thanks again Mom!!! our goal was to find a house to rent in 2 days and we did it! hooooray:) i'm still way stressed out about the whole thing. there are tons of loose ends to tie up and i'm STILL fighting with the movers BUT i am staying positive and just laughing alot. as a matter of fact, my husband and i were laughing so hard today...i think i pulled some stomach muscles!!! ooooh at least we can laugh people!!!!

i didn't find any polka dotted or striped roofs...but i'm pretty happy with what we did find! i was completely in love with an adorable little cottagey style house in the heart of the downtown...tons of character (which i do love!), but just didn't work out. so, i wound up with a great house with lots of room and a cute back yard...all very tidy and clean...and still VERY close to the downtown. we saw so many houses that were really, really gross...renting is the PITS. I'm so thankful that we found this cute house at the last minute! the bad news is that we have to come up with beaucoups of money for all the deposits, etc. As always, we had a super hard time finding someone that wanted to allow a cat. 5 billion dollars later (okay, i'm exaggerating a little;))...the cat is allowed! hooray!!

Hello my friends! I'm off to Chicago to find a place to live. I'll be away this weekend and won't be checking email...so thank you ahead of time for peekin' in at my blog:) If you make any purchases from the shop they will be shipped out on Monday July 14th. the boys of summer...

well, school's been out for over a week and it's been non stop action around here! jake said goodbye to 2nd grade and his wonderful teachers...

and hello to summer fun! Beach trips...oooops forgot the camera those days!

Indiana Jones has been looking for treasure in my yard! Special note: Humming the theme song the entire time definitely helps the hunt;)

Watching movies with Spider Man on a rainy day...

We also had a super fun 4th of July with our neighbors and saw fabulous fireworks at our little village beach too! The boys caught crabs and I brought a little tent to the beach for them to play in while we waited for the action...it was sooo cute. yep...you guessed it...no camera there either!! What kind of poser blogger am I!!!?? I'll work on that okay!:):):)

sneak peeeek

a few sneak peeks at the update in just a couple hours!! I am sooo sorry...but the 2 mini couples are just NOT ready as well as 1 regular sized French couple:( Ran out of time while fighting with our moving company ALL DAY...we'll save that story for another time:):):) just happy thoughts right now:):):) sooo here we have it! i also have 2 new collage paintings on metal...so cool! just need to get some photos of those (that's a sneak up above!) and i'll put them in the shop sometime tomorrow (tuesday!).

i know that my update times aren't always the best for all my customers and i am so sorry about that. i really have to work around my boys schedule though...and it is so much easier when they are in bed or my hubby can watch them. if it is better for anyone, i'll try and make the next update for a weekend morning maybe?? let me know any thoughts you may have on the subject:) big hugs to you guys!!!
