Thanks so much for the super sweet birthday wishes you guys! I truly had the most fabulous birthday ever...really SO fun. I think I should turn 36 every year!!! As soon as I snap some pictures of all my goodies, I will be sharing them with you.

I'm really not sure where the time is going. (yoooo hooooo...where are you!?) Is it just because it's that time of year? When school is back and the holidays are sneaking up (at a scary fast pace)? I've been scrambling to finish orders. Don't worry...scrambling is a good thing when it comes to my job! I'm not complaining AT ALL! I have lots of guilt when I make you wait though. You are all so sweet and patient with me. I LOVE YOU!! Christmas orders have been put on a teeny back burner until I can get the Halloween ones all finished up. Which MUST be done this week. You heard it here folks;)

It was really fun to have my Mom here this past week. She spent ALOT of time in my studio with me. Talking to me and watching me while I worked. I LOVED the company!! Thanks Mom!! She also played some too! She made the cutest clay cake for me and that SUPER cute collage up there in my photos and a magnet! I hope you keep making fun stuff when you get back home Mom! You deserve it!!

The NieNie Benefit Sale has been such a HUGE success! Morgan...aka the superwoman hostess of this sale...deserves all of our hugs and tons of applause for taking on this MAMMOTH job. Thank you so much Morgan and to all of you that bought treats from the sale! There will be 1 more day of posts...Tuesday Sept. 30, 7:00 pm PST. okay!? I'll have a few collages, some Halloween lulette houses...and ??? I'll show sneak pictures Friday before the update:)

So, I told you I've been the lucky recipient of fun goodies lately! Time to finally share some with you! I don't have photos of everything...so this will be part 1. Part 2 soon to follow! let's start with my super fun visit with some artist friends:) I feel so lucky to have met some blog friends for the 1st time ever! SO FUN and there were presents:):) Jackie of Fat Jak Originals has the most darling and cozy/warm house. I had so much fun seeing the lovely space she works in...and loved peeking at her fabulous collection of dollies and other treasures. She gave me this little sweetie to take home!

I LOVE him so! Isn't he cute!? Thank you Jackie. I loved visiting with Michelle of The Blackberry Briar too!!! SO nice to sit and chat with you about balancing life, family and our art!! Michelle gave me such a treat. One of her delectable candles and room sprays and the cutest little polka dot wand:):) Thank you tons Michelle. I've stated about 50 times that I want to marry this candle. It smells so flipping good...it's nuts!!!! You have to get your hands on one...seriously...DELICIOUS!!!

I got the sweetest housewarming package from a dear friend!! One of the goodies was this CUTE house stuffie:):) I know, crummy picture but look at that chenille roof and the heart and the polka dots!! SO me:) xoxox

I was the lucky winner of Gingham World's NieNie auction! Look at the package she sent...yipppeeee!!! Adorable!!! I've always loved her little nesting dollies...but to hold them in my hand I love them even more! Thank you Michelle. I heart them alot:):) And the birdie necklace is awesome!!!! (oh my gosh...look at my baby Jake peeking behind the frames...edible)

a few things to share...

hi guys! my week of "catchin' up" has been flying by! It sounds like all of you are in the same boat. Juggling family, house, school and work...it can be exhausting. That's why I love spending time on our home. Home should be a warm, cozy and inviting place you can escape to. A little corner of the big world that is all yours...filled with your personal style and all the things that make you smile. I've been working away on getting all our belongings tucked away into their new little spaces. Looking for new pieces of furniture (at amazing prices!!!! because that's half the fun!!) to fit new nooks. so, here's just a few peeks for you! I'll take more photos soon...

We found this estate sale the last time she was visiting:)

now, this is what the top of my dresser looked like when I bought it. some sweet little Grandma stuck floral contact paper all over the top.

Remeber those old ceiling tins I found a while

back? I painted the wooden frame a shabby white and it now

hangs over one of the couches in the living room!

here's a peek at the "music room". this house is such a mansion in size compared to our last teeny house...that we like to give our rooms fancy house names;) This room is a cozy place that my hubby can play his guitars and listen to his records and play around with his vintage radios. Imagine my 3 guys in here playing music together! It's pretty darn cute...and loud;)

speaking of my husband. People ask me all the time what he does. Well, he is a Physicist. A High Energy Theorist to be exact. " What does that mean?" is usually the follow up question. And for YEARS I've had a very difficult time answering that. Mostly because it is WAY over my head. But, also because in our little world, it has meant me putting him through many years of school...having children in the midst of grad school...and moving around alot while he fulfills Post-Doc positions. But really, it is much more important than just that. And I want Chris to know how proud I am of him. This week the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) started up and has been in the news alot. This is what my husband works on! So from now on, when somebody asks me..."what does your husband do?", I can give a little bit of a better explanation;)

smashing success!

(even though we could not

find the new Spiderman backpack!

I think it was lost in the shuffle of

the move...eeeek!)

Henry picked a photo out

of the big box of photographs to

keep in his pocket all day.

He picked a little wedding photo

of his mommy and dad.

Really...that was his sweet little

choice!!

He took the teacher's hand at school

and walked right into his class.

He looked back just once and

gave me a HUGE grin and a

wave.
