movin' on...

movin' on you guys:) I want to thank you for your sweet support. I don't want us to attack each other over this. This particular person knows who they are...they removed the copied type over the weekend. I think it's time to move on. Just be aware and be true to yourself and respectful of your fellow artists:):) thanks for understanding that:):) SO...I added this new print to the shop. I clipped it from my long skinny piece....I liked the way her head and the text made a nice little square. kinda cute, huh? I love red. alot!!

there is the most darling blog called The Etsy Addict that you have to go peek at. I'm so happy to have my little polka dot dress featured there today...thank you:):) LOVE her banner...so cute and so true for so many of us:):) Yay handmade!!!!

and speaking of handmade...Spooky Time Jingles update is coming up sooooon!

See and that just proves what a sweetie you are! As one non-confrontational soul to another I hope this is over for you now. I know how this kind of thing can make us people pleasers sick to our stomachs!

Yay, I'm the proud owner of the "philosophy of love" and I can't wait to proudly display her on my wall!

Jenn, your grace and courage is amazing. I hope this day is one we can all learn from, to be ourselves and to be true to ourselves. That's all you asked for, and what you deserve.

What are you and the hubby doing for Valentines Day?

Jenn:

I so absolutely understand your non-confrontational personality. I've been like that my whole life.

Here's a funny little thought: My art is so odd and dis-gruntled that no one WANTS to copy it! I don't even use watermarks because no one knows my art!

So, in an odd way, I might be flattered that someone liked my art enough to "borrow" from it. But then again...

I love your blog and I'm so glad we exchanged links! You have an enormous heart and an understanding attitude.

Bonjour Jenn! I am so happy to see you are now feeling better about this situation. Strange enough, yesterday, while checking some new contacts' blogs, I happened on someone's art so similar to Danita's that it shocked me! I will let Danita know about this right away... I guess the best advice came from one of the person who left a comment on your post yesterday: You have to forget about all this and not look at it! Sometimes, I think I look too much at other artists' stuff and do not work on my stuff enough! Hey! Keep this is mind: You're the best! Take care, LuLu xxxx

Love the way you handled the entire situation. Very respectful, dignified, and classy.

I actually quit reading a blog once because I didn't like how personal the blogger got when someone did something like this to her. She went on a rampage and stooped to a grade schooler's level.

I LOOOVE the new print. Very inspirational.
Hope your snow is melting and you are enjoying the outdoors! We are! Karen

Hey there! I tried leaving you a comment earlier, but somehow messed up! Anyway, wanted to say I like the way you handled this...with dignity and class.

I really love the new print. I bet the painting is amazing!

Hope you have a great week! Karen

Glad to hear that today is better! I stumbled on a blog recently that had little houses exactly like yours. I was sad! As an artist who paints houses also I am alway questioning myself to make sure I am not being TOO inspired by someone else. I'm glad you took the time to say something. Sometimes that is all it takes to wake someone up! Have a great warm day.

I think outright/blatent copying is not right...of art or copy. Just not right at all!
But I do think there are many neat little houses and cottages out there by different artists. I know that some of those cottages have inspired others to create their own "takes" or inspiration on little houses/cottages...and I love to see all the different ones by those people--even if they are somewhat similar---they are very cute and each artist has a unique spin on them or personal touch! I know I would hate for people to stop creating and putting their hearts into something that brings themselves and their friends/customers joy. I love your lullettes...they are great!!! I have also enjoyed seeing and buying other things (like other clay houses and other kinds of art) out there on etsy and in shops...I hope all can continue to create in harmony and inspire, challenge and support eachother.
Thanks for your positive spin on this issue!
