men in hats...

I love a man in a hat, don't you? I mean, you know how much I enjoy a good striped cone hat....but I also happen to be quite crazy for a polka dotted top hat. True story. So, I spent some time this past week creating some little top hat wearin' men. What goes better with a top hat than a moustache? That's right...nothing! So, they all got moustaches too.

Here's a couple peeks at 2 of my new manly friends.

I also spent a ridiculous amount of time on those new necklaces I had mentioned a while back. I always do this. I'll have this idea in my head that can never quite come to real life! But I spend oodles of time trying:) That's how I learn though! I REALLY wanted to make some little doll head pendants. Sounds/looks weird when I write it out like that? Anyhoooo. I made a couple heads, but I don't think they are looking right as necklaces. I added some ribbon, lace & vintage button to this one. Tell me what you think...

I wanted to do something different from my "head pendants" last year. These new ones may just be too bulky though. I think I like last year's model better and maybe should just do more of those. Here is last year's pendant...

and here's another new head I made...a blonde...

Don't you love that old paper she's on!? It is from my pack of TREATS that I won from Debbie Overton's OWOH giveaway!!! Thank you again Debbie. Such an amazing win...I'm so excited! I absolutely love all the old papers and ledgers and book pages and photos and maps!! and speaking of winning (yay me!) I won a darling bird brooch from DODA as well. I just love it! (look at her cuuuuute "little hoots" pins in her etsy shop here). thank you so much Doda! And I think it is extra wonderful that it came from Scotland...home of my ancestors:)

Okay, I seriously need to go to bed. I won't even tell you how late it is. I finally figured out the "schedule a post" option...so I'll schedule this blog post for the morning (a few short hours away!). I'll get my new "men in hats" listed in the shop probably Monday. I'll let you know for sure before I do!

Happy Sunday and Happy March!

xoxo...jenn

I adore your new little men and really, that chunky little face necklace is adorable! I think you may very likely do very well with her.

Totally loving the papers you've used on your background and how jealous I am that you have them in your possession. What a fabulous thing to have won!

I really like the menfolk!! So funky fun! I think I like the pendant heads/faces the best. The new heads, can't put my finger on it, it needs something-a body? Just kidding! I couldn't resist! LMAO at myself right now..

Pendants is all I'm saying...

Hi you! I like the pendant on the green tree. Old paper anything is always fun and interesting. I did not win a thing on the owoh but it was so fun to participate in and that was the main thing! I know many who did:)) Awaiting your "rainbow":)

Bonjour Jenn! Oh! I love your dapper men in top hats! They are so spiffy! They remind me a bit of Masters of the Ring in a circus! And your necklaces are wonderful! I like them the way they are, a bit girlish and so much fun! Unless they are too heavy, I think they are perfect! March, March, I love March! The sun is getting warmer, the snow is melting and the seeds in my trays are sprouting! Youppi! HAVE A HAPPY SUNDAY! And don't go to bed too late... Doctor's order, remember? ;-) Take care, LuLu

OHHH!!! I love everything you are up to darling Noodlette ;) ;)

When I was in my early twenties I used to make face pendants, and wear a bunch at a time.

Once and artist downtown said, what are all those things around your neck? And I said, my true friends!! tee heeeeee ;)

I might need to throw one of yours around me neck for sure!! xoxoxo
