and for fun, I'll show you a scribble sketch I did of this little couple before I started painting them. I've mentioned before how I usually don't sketch a painting before I paint...but when I do...this is what it looks like.
and here they are all painted up. I kind of love the sketch!

happy Friday everyone! oh and thank you to everyone that adopted my ladies in hats!! I didn't forget about the lulettes update:) I'll probably do it on Sunday. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow. I have boys on Spring Break to entertain:):)
Lots of xoxox...jenn

Hi Jenn! Love the Girls painting... Makes me want to gather up my girls and go out on the town! But then again, who could resist a man who brings you flowers! Love it.... have you completely recovered from the flood? Happy Spring Break, my boys still have a couple of weeks before they are out!
Bonjour mon amie! Oh! What pretty paintings! The 4 girls are adorable and the sweet couple a delight! Great work! Oh yes! Spring Break! We had ours a little while ago and as much as I like having my son at home, I was ready to go back to my normal routine after all these days of goofing around! Have a wonderful weekend! Take care, LuLu xxx
They're both just wonderful, as always! I love visiting your blog - your work always brings a smile. :)

I'm with you, I really like your sketch of the couple. I started picturing in my mind how it would look finished. Where do you find the time to do this with the boys home?
Jenn,
I love the sketch too! I think it would look so cute framed, or maybe even made into note cards? And of course I love the girls...nothing better than girlfriends or sisters!
Happy Friday!
Both beautiful and I love the colors! I always enjoy other artists process!
I'm liking the sketch as well...and how on earth DO you find the time to do all that you do??
Happy Weekend! :)

These paintings are just beautiful. Lucky buyers to the ones who are able to snatch them up fast enough! So pretty : )
beautiful paintings!!
Jenn:
I adore the colors you use. Always a breath of fresh air. I envy artists that have a knack for softness. In all of my years of "creating", I could never get the feel for soft colors. Whether I'm painting, collaging or sewing, all of my work always looks so harsh and bold. Funny thing is, my home is decorated in very soft colors. Go figure!

Love your creations! Wanted to say how much I love "My Baby" you have up at the http://blockheadradiolive.com/3D
wonderful paintings but i truly adore the sketch. it has a whimsical loose quality that makes me smile!! i can imagine the sketch done in black ink and then just the tiniest little touch of pale watercolor or pastel added. it would sell, girlfriend!!!
both are lovely, i do love the sketch though...
Love your work!!!
this is a definate favorite of mine! the colors are so luscious!

I happen to think that the Sketch is just as good as the finished product.
