I've been swamped with wrapping up your orders and finishing up some special commissions. I know you are all with me when I say there are NOT enough hours in the day. There are just those days when you have to neglect something! So, yeah. Maybe the bathrooms won't be cleaned today. Maybe I'll let dishes sit in the sink overnight (again). I probably won't get to answering all my emails again. And yep. My gray roots will have to wait another day. Or week. I'm seriously searching for a way to make them look cool. Not working.

I will not get it ALL done today and that is OKAY! Are you with me? I know you are:)

you guys! The boys have been home

from school because of this dangerous weather

and the whole week has just been kind of topsy

turvy. Hoping to get back to normal soon and get

all these projects done for the shop...

and to visit all of you that have been leaving

peeks into the noodle and lou studio for you guys! you can click on the photos to make them larger if you want. I'm so happy to start the new year off all organized and tidy! We all know it won't stay this way...but it's sooooo good to get it all cleaned out once in awhile! We all need a fresh start from time to time, don't we:)

Aren't the walls the ugliest color on earth? yuck. And then the brown doors and trim and blinds...yikes...really dark. It really makes me nuts...But, then I remember it is only temporary and I'm REALLY so grateful for the space. REALLY! So I filled one wall with art. Lots of beauties from Jake, framed paper puppets from the redroostercraft etsy shop...ADORE them. Prints from Studio Spiral and Debbie Egizio. Little birdie art by CourtneyP. And 2 prints that we bought in San Francisco on our honeymoon.

My sweet little cabinet, seen above, holds more treasures and a collection of loved Halloween ladies who stay out all year.

this is where I sit at my desk and paint and talk to you guys:) Hi! I have my printer, scanner, paints and paper all at my fingertips. The TV is for my little buddies when they want to lounge in my room on the little yellow couch...and sometimes (when I don't have my music playing) I like to have it on as background noise. Those Top Chef marathons are good to work to! Who knew!?!

I turned the room's closet into my shipping headquarters;) I store my canvases and other mass quantities of supplies on the shelves. Lots of frames and wooden plaques waiting to be painted. a whole shelf of vintage photos and books. more art books and magazines for inspiration. I tucked my little white vintage desk in there for a wrapping surface...all my ribbons and such are tucked into stackable drawers just out of the shot. It is so nice to have everything you need within reach!!

and yet another vintage cabinet that has had many purposes since I bought it in Jacksonville when we were first married! It's been a pantry, a linen closet, a sweater cabinet, a toy cabinet and just recently (in our last house) the boys' clothes closet! really!

mail sorters make great stickers and cards and packing labels storage!!

such a surprise (she says with much sarcasm), but we had lots of snow this weekend! It really is so pretty. If only it weren't so cold! All the snow was a great excuse for me to clean my studio and work on more Valentine treats. My studio is SO sparkling clean and tidy and lovely, I must take pictures soon to show you...before it turns back into the disaster zone it normally is. Don't you love right after you clean your work space? It completely inspired me. I'm feeling like I can get way more done now. So now I just have to do it;)

My Spooky Time Jingles treats are all ready for their debut at the January 13 update! I can't wait to see what everyone else is offering. Don't forget, alot of the artists will have Valentine treats this month. yipppeeee!

And this has nothing to do with anything...but remember when I went here? I've been thinking about all those incredible flowers...

How FUN are you guys?! Thanks for all the Astrid love:) It was like having a whole bunch of the cool shopping friend that always says, "just get it!". You are all fab-U-lous!!

So, I'm back to work...full throttle. I'm in Valentine mode...thinking of little couples and hearts and love birds and such. I know it's been a while since I've had jewelry in the shop, so I'm making some new pendants and rings too. I'm not a diamonds kind of girl...I'd much rather have some chunky, funky clay or vintage button ring. How about you?

oh astrid

Upon doing some online window shopping at my favorite store, Anthropologie, this morning... I discovered my beloved Astrid chair was on sale. After checking both couches and all my old purses for lost money ( insert laugh track here), I knew I had to say goodbye to Astrid once again. Goodbye old pal...you'd look so precious in my living room;)

I know. I'm in a silly mood today.

The real reason I popped in was to tell you that I'm putting 4 new mini canvases in the shop tonight around 8:00 p.m (EST). I'll be offering prints of them (soon) as well! Hope your Monday has been a fabulously happy one so far!!! see ya soon:) xoxo...jenn
