it's true...this makes 3 posts in a row about family only! paintings, sculptures, update info and other art stuff will make an appearance soon...probably the next post:) But for now, I have some important birthday wishes for my sweet Aunt Judi!

I ate a whole huge box of chocolates...

I'm feeling a bit guilty, because I am very behind

on my blog visits! I at least try

and respond to all of you sweet people that leave

me comments...and I just don't know where my time

has gone lately. I haven't had that much ME time,

where I can just park it front of the computer and get

lost in fabulous blog land!!

So, please don't think I'm ignoring you.

I appreciate all your comments so much and I'm hoping

to get back on track this week:)

I have TONS I'm wanting to do!!

I had this great idea in the middle of the night

(happens a lot.. luckily I keep a pad of paper & pen by the bed!)

for some new necklaces and I'm working

on more Easter pieces and I have a few BIG

paintings in the works! You can see a peek of one

getting my treats for the spooky time jingles update

Henry has his little Valentine party at school today.

I'm one of the class Moms and we have all sorts of fun things

planned for those little cuties:) seriously...he is in the cutest

class ever. love those kids!!! My sweet big boy Jake, however,

is completely disgusted that he has to pass out Valentines.

I assured him the whole 3rd grade was passing them out

and his pirate Valentines were SUPER manly.

WEATHER.

it is 61 degrees outside!

i wore NO socks today.

the snow is all melted away and

the sun is shining.

Henry and I had a picnic and then

walked to school and

I am soaking up every last second of

this warmth. I know it will

be gone soon...but at least I feel like

I can handle it now!

movin' on you guys:) I want to thank you for your sweet support. I don't want us to attack each other over this. This particular person knows who they are...they removed the copied type over the weekend. I think it's time to move on. Just be aware and be true to yourself and respectful of your fellow artists:):) thanks for understanding that:):) SO...I added this new print to the shop. I clipped it from my long skinny piece....I liked the way her head and the text made a nice little square. kinda cute, huh? I love red. alot!!

there is the most darling blog called The Etsy Addict that you have to go peek at. I'm so happy to have my little polka dot dress featured there today...thank you:):) LOVE her banner...so cute and so true for so many of us:):) Yay handmade!!!!

my heart on my sleeve

i am so hesitant to even say what i'm about to say and i don't really know why. probably because i'm very non confrontational. when it comes right down to it...i'm a people pleaser and i like to make people happy...so i have a hard time sticking up for myself. i love to share. i like to help people out...answer their questions...share a tip, a technique, a product. i mean that's why i'm part of the blogging community. to share! i love to inspire people. but there is a difference between inspiration and blatant copying. it's upsetting and i don't like when i come across it. and i do see it...i'm not oblivious. it's one crummy thing to copy my design....but then to literally copy my words!? to literally use my sentences, my script to sell copies of my work. this makes me really, really sad.

i know this is not my usual upbeat happy post. and i'm sorry to be a downer. besides myself, i've seen it happen to a couple friends over the weekend too and i just didn't feel like taking the "high road" this time and saying nothing. because this is important. it is important to be yourself!! so, this may open up some big ugly can of worms. i don't know. that is certainly not my intention and i hope you understand where i am coming from. this is about honesty and integrity and finding your own voice. not using someone else's.
