i hope each of you had a lovely thanksgiving day! we enjoyed ourselves SO much at our friends' house. it gets a little lonely for us without any family around and we were so thrilled to be adopted by our sweet friends for the day:) definitely something to be thankful for!!

no 4 a.m. shopping for me on friday...i can't believe stores opened that early! as an ex-department store employee, i feel so sorry for those poor store workers. my heart goes out to them...whew! for those of you who would rather not fight the lines at your local mall...join some of us celebrating RED FRIDAY december 4th. take a peek at the link to see a list of the participating shops who will be offering free shipping (wooooOhoooooO!!) for the day.

'tis the magical time of year when my studio turns in to an elf station. and i have been a busy little elf. (can i really be an elf at 5' 11"? santa would never go for it.) sculpting and sanding and painting and printing. i finished up my 1st batch of snowmen ornaments. aren't they so festive with their little vintage chocolate mold collars? some of these little guys are headed to a sweet friend...and a few will head to my etsy shop on tuesday! the 2nd batch will be ready later this weekend. i'll keep ya posted!

vintage christmas

holy vintage mercury glass goodness! i have bunches of Christmas goodies to put in the noodle and lou vintage shop. i've been storing away all sorts of shiny treats...you will adore them so much. i know i do! and i want to keep it ALL of course....but i am TRYING to be better:) wink wink! so peek into the shop throughout this week. here's a sample of what you'll see...

ho, ho, ho! happy tuesday to you all. i'll be finishing up my spookytime jingle offerings for the update on the 13th! also finishing up some little things for the shop , working on some neglected laundry, putting away the rest of the halloween stuff (sad) and figuring out how to say NO to the mounds of halloween candy calling my name. oh yeah. hear it!? those twix bars are temptresses;) cute, quick story....

me: "i'm eating so many candy bars my neck is turning into another head"

shop update

i have some peeks for you noodle-ettes! first of all, let me give you a disclaimer about my troll of a scanner. it is doing terrible things with my scans...so, if you are looking at the paintings saying..."hmmm...colors seem weird." it's the troll scanner. it used to love me. i think it has moved on. i'm freaking out a little bit. i SO can not buy a new scanner right now. crossing my fingers it will love me again. soon. enough about scanners that live under bridges and charge tolls.

almost time for chicken day

halloween night...after trick or treating...henry announced to his adorable little friend, "now the next day is almost time for that chicken day." we all laughed and laughed, i could have eaten him up with a spoon...quite possibly the cutest thing i have ever heard in my life. love that sweet kid:) of course he means turkey day...thanksgiving. cooking a turkey completely grosses me out, so i'm all for a chicken breast instead! or better yet...just give me the sides!!! yep, thanksgiving is next, with christmas creeping up quickly behind...but let's enjoy a little trick or treat time for a just one more day:)

happy november 1st everyone!

we had a fabulously fun halloween...hope you did as well! i have photos to upload and will share those later. the boys had a whole bunch of fun with their friends trick or treating. if anyone needs any candy, i can send you a truck load and still have plenty left;)
