gone sledding...

we are just having way too much fun sledding and goofing off! so, i'm hanging the "gone sledding" sign on my blog for a couple more days:):) i know you'll understand:) we're so lucky to have some cousins and my cute aunt in town for a couple days. we all don't want to toot our own horns...but for floridians, we are some pretty awesome sledders;)

last minute gifts

there is still a weeee bit of time left to snatch up some last minute Christmas gifts! i'm heading over to both shops in just a minute to add just a few last minute treats. they ship out priority mail immediately! my husband/elf is on call for shipping duties today:) ho, ho, ho!

i have been SICK as a dog. sick. really sick. i was pretending it wasn't happening. but tuesday it started dragging me under. so, yes, i've been trying to rest and drinking lots of fluids and taking my emergen-c and zinc tablets...etc. ugh. somehow i did get all the out of town family gifts wrapped and off to fed ex and the post office. big weight off my shoulders:) and the kids finished school friday, so no more standing in the freezing cold getting them from school:) yay! hoping to feel better soon, so that we can enjoy the break! bake some cookies and look at old Christmas photos from years past!

i don't mean to alarm you...

but, uh, this guy is showing up in like 10 days.

help. every year i say "next year i'm going to be more prepared". giggle!!!!! never happens. never. i haven't even taken the kids picture for the Christmas cards yet!!! feeling better about yourself right about now!? more giggles! oh whatever....normally i'd be in freak out mode....but this year, i'm just trying to enjoy the crazy ride:) i took it easy on the decorating this year. we got the tree up, but i didn't go nuts with all the other stuff this year. that took a lot of pressure of me! i went shopping last week for the things i have to ship off. somehow that will be happening this week? kids' last day of school is friday, so have to have the teachers' gifts ready. somehow those Christmas cards need to get done. ahem. i have my work cut out for me;) good thing i relaxed a bit over the weekend.

i did get a bunch of orders done...yes, those were the last of my snowmen. i MIGHT have 1 or 2 left. i'll let you know:)

tonight is the first night of hanukkah! in celebration, the always fabulous junior society came up with this darling button menorah craft tutorial. i just had to share it with you! such a great project to make with the kids and a great way to celebrate the festival of lights!

just the 3 of us...

hope you all had a lovely weekend! jake was off spending the night at a friend's house, so me, chris and henry had a night out on the town...just the 3 of us. being the 2nd born and 4 1/2 years younger than his brother...my little lou doesn't get his mom and dad all to himself very often:) it was lots of fun. we had yummy mexican food, we did a little bit of shopping and this sweet boy found a new friend that he just HAD to have.



i tell you what...life has lots of twists and turns...lots to be stressed out about...jobs, money, life stuff...but you look at that cute little face and it just makes you happy. thanks hen.
