vintage tuesday

tuesday is here! and holy moly is it vintage at its best!!! chris and i found some major treasures last week...especially in the vintage BIKE department. you'll see what i mean a few pictures down. but first...before i could enjoy any of these things...i came down with STREP last week. what the HECK. am i a disease magnet, or what, this year? i actually thought i had mono. my throat was so sore. i was exhausted beyond belief. but no. the sore throat kept getting worse. to the point that i thought i was dying for sure. yuck. that is some horrid pain. finally went to the doc. got on antibiotics and voila...feeling better. ooooh thank you! but, behind on everything. as usual. don't mind me. :):):)

back to vintage tuesday!!!





introducing my husband's new obsession and love interest...

yep a freaking vintage men's raleigh bike. in crazy good condition. i'm pretty sure he wants to marry it.

and we found a super duper cool purple/fuschia men's vintage schwinn. both of these bikes are from the 60's. chris is detailing them and fixing them up. i'll show you more pics. soon:)

and i found an old bike basket for my little vintage ride. ching, ching!

team-up thursday

c o l o r

hooray for color! it's popping up all around us here in the

midwest! it is SO nice to be outside. the birds are going

crazy...chirping away...preparing their little nests. the

tulips are opening in a zillion colors all over the place.

the trees are budding. i planted some little purple and

yellow violets and i love them to bits. i also painted all my

outside furniture. i left it out ALL winter (ding dong me!)

and it wasn't lookin' too good. so my adirondack chairs and

matching wood pieces got a sanding and a fresh white wash.

it just feels so fresh and clean on our patio now. can't wait

to get MORE flowers planted. and i am wanting to mosaic

our fire pit. we'll see;)

team-up thursday...always a bright spot in my week!!

we picked color for our theme this week. i think our

dip has an easy flow...like they totally belong together.

the gal is headed to that chair for some RELAXation:)

love my big, cozy, yummy, colorful pillow on my freshly

painted chair. the perfect spot for soaking up some afternoon

rays! and how fabulous is carissa's photo!!! the shot of her

fab red nails and gorgeous necklace (made by HER...you can

get your own HERE) and cute self. she needs to be

parked on my chair. i have 2 carissa! come on over:)

that is our team-up thursday theme for this week. and can i tell you how much i love the image carissa captured! that sweet girl with her matching socks. getting ready to tackle her day. i'm thinking there is no task to small when you are wearing striped pink socks. don't you think?

and my image...the vacuum. i used to vacuum every day. let's be real....now it's like every other day. sure, that means crumbs and cat hair are hanging out a little longer than i would like. but really. it's impossible. IMPOSSIBLE to keep a clean house with 2 boys and a husband. i mean really. i clean something and it's a mess 3 seconds later. okay, 1 second later! thank you vacuum for being a part of my routine...for helping me to keep a handle on the messes;)

i was torn between 2 images this week. my other image was henry on his daily quest to find his other spider man sock. can you believe we both had images of our kids with socks! i know...i love my partner:) had to share it with you. every day, before school, henry tries to find this missing sock. it's so cute. he never gets mad or sad about it. just "hmmm. maybe you can find it while i'm at school mom". but the sock is long gone. gone to the mysterious missing sock land. i was telling carissa...i should really find that sweet boy another pair of spider man socks.

vintage tuesday

happy vintage tuesday! i have not done an ounce of work on my old dollhouse project. remember that? maybe this summer. i almost kept these DARLING tootsietoy pieces for my house. but i forced myself to share. i have to do that a lot you guys. it's hard! i want to keep everything i find for little ol' meeee!

it was hard to give them up...but i was so tickled that my sweet buddy snatched 'em up and i know they live somewhere fabulous now:)

keeping in my doll house theme...i found another killer treat!!! a marxie mansion! a crazy-awesome-condition marxie mansion!!!! i love marx toys and i'm always hunting for the metal dollhouses. i have never seen one in this good of condition! a marx mansion with no rust, no dents...and only a few minor scratches here and there. it's missing a bit of furniture...but still has the adorable red and white striped awnings. take a peek...

is it SO great, or what!? it will be another hard item to part with!!! look for it to head over to the shop soon. i'd just love if it went to a little girl that would play with it all the time:)
