vintage tuesday

another vintage tuesday! they sure fly by, don't they?

i just love these religious statues...especially the 1st one. isn't it extra lovely with all the chips!? the 2nd one is dated 1946 from cuba. very cool. these are so beautiful grouped together on a mantle or shelf...enjoy!

and completely unrelated...i just added this new painting to the noodle and lou art shop! trying to finish up all these half started projects sitting around my studio. 2 weeks left before the moving truck pulls up! wheeeeeeeeeeee!

vintage story book blocks

i have 1 billion old story books. maybe 2 billion. but who's counting. i decided to finally start doing something with them. you know...instead of hoarding them;) i made these little collage blocks using some absolutely DARLING illustrations from a 1930's heidi book. (yes...1930's!!!!) the illustrations are applied to a vintage wooden building block, varnished and sealed with a matte top coat. just added them to the shop now.

hooray for little breaks in between all this packing:):)

one of thee most important ingredients to summer fun! my boys love playing with the hose in the back yard while "watering" the plants. running around with your brother, making a muddy mess. now that is a good time! and look at that yummy looking pool that carissa's cutie is dipping her piggies into. i'm ready to dive right in!! hooray for summer!

i sure do adore this team-up thursday goodness! i missed last week with all the appts. i had with movers and such. boy...it's been a whirlwind. we still don't have a house in texas yet....but the movers are arriving there, with a truck full of our stuff, on august 4th! deep breaths. it will all work out. it will all work out.... it will.
