team-up thursday

that was the theme for team-up this week.

i went with books and bowls. because i have lots o' stacks of them. and my husband loves it, yes he does! okay, no he doesn't...but too bad:) have i ever mentioned that he would be a total minimalist if it weren't for me?

i think that stacks of magazines and/or yummy books are a fabulous design tool. makes a room look lived in...gives it personality. my coffee table is full of them. art books, kids books, design books, history books. there's even a baseball book for my husband. see honey...i'm thinking of you.

i adore carissa's shot for 2 reasons. the PATINA on those old jello molds is out of this world awesome. sooo good. SO good. and i heart old jello molds. a bunch. i have some stacks of those too:)

valentine treats are on my mind for this vintage tuesday.

last minute peeks of the gals (and guys) heading to the shop tonight at 8:00 (EST)...

these are some of my favorite pins to date! they were so chippy...and i really love how you can still see their old paint! especially the blonde/yellow gal!

also have this little 5x4 mixed media piece..."love shack"

and a super treat...

a bowling pin CUP girl! the wooden top and plastic cup bottom are from the 1940's...(part of an old game...SO hard to find!) now it can be a special hiding place for your treasures:)

team up thursday

our 'team up thursday' theme was black and white

this week. (click on the photo to see it LARGE...

so much better that way. if only i could figure out

how to make it display that way in the first place!)

i really love black and white photos.

i treasure the old ones i have of my parents and

grandparents. they just have such a timeless and

classic quality...and very romantic i think.

totally loving the depth in each of our photos!

carissa's snowy boot shot is so simple yet beautiful

i think! my little gal and piano are ancient little

treasures of mine...and i thought they would be

perfect in b&w. always love our dipping:) ALWAYS!

time to DIP into thursday!

TONS to do, so i'm jumping in with both feet.

vintage tuesday

i am knee deep in vintage!

cleaning and organizing my studio....

shooey it is a TASK!

but i love it. i really do. i'm unearthing

all sorts of fun things that i forgot i had:)

seems i had not properly unpacked the
studio since our move. my studio is

the biggest job...so of course it was

procrastination central!

i have a ways to go, but i'm making

some good progress and i can't wait to

show you my sparkly, sweet studio when

i'm finished. 'cause let's face it. it won't

stay that way for long.

i'm not messy. i'm creative:)

somehow, some way...

i have a few things to offer for the

if you can believe it (i sure can't)...i am

STILL sick. starting the new year off

with a bang:) the antibiotics are killin'

me. i'm just trying to get a lot of

rest and wait this out!

but that is a complete snoozefest

to talk about that...so back to STJ!

makes an appearance on stj this month!

in addition to our halloween and christmas

art...you'll find some marvelous valentine

treats. can't wait to see all the sweet things.

snow day

well, a texas snow day! it's not really sticking

to the ground...but it is snowing. someone

could not resist running out and playing in

it:)

we sure don't miss the endless days of

freezing temps in chicago...but we do miss

the snow a bit. the fun sledding trips and

backyard snow forts that would last for

weeks....

there won't be any snow forts today. or

even a snowball! but it looked pretty

p.s. i'm a bit out of sorts. i've been sick with

a cold for what seems like forever. then i

started breaking out in hives everywhere.

lovely. i'm on meds for a sinus infection and

hoping to feel (and look) like "normal" jenn soon!
