vintage tuesday

i first saw these amazing little hearts on pinterest and i fell in love.  love tokens made by WWI soldiers and sent off to their sweethearts back at home.  the design, the bead work, the embroidered bits...the character and sweetness of them makes my heart ache.  wondering if those boys ever made it home?  can you imagine receiving one of these?  they are just so supremely dear.
