the frame girls project
i’m so thrilled to share my new embroidery patterns with you… the frame girls project!
your purchase includes 6 embroidery patterns designed by me and printed on 100% cotton. each square is about 6 inches. they are packaged in a glassine envelope with a postcard showing you some of the ideas noted below.
****quilting fabric and embroidery floss not included! the photos of finished projects are examples and not what you receive… you receive ONLY the patterns.****
this set of 6 patterns is for you to use in any way you wish. you can use the simplest stitches or show off your fancy tricks! use felt and fabric for raw edge applique and use all your own favorite colors! my hope is for you to use these “frame girls” as a social exchange including friends and family reminiscent of the sewing circles and friendship quilts of the past. i love the idea of you and 5 friends each choosing a girl to stitch and then swapping when you are all finished. each friend will have 5 girls stitched up by their pals (wouldn’t it be cute to stitch their names under the frames?) and 1 girl stitched by YOU!
see my photos for examples how to finish your project! i created an art quilt (still finishing up that binding!) to hang on my wall. i just gathered up some of my fave fabrics, cut squares and stitched them all together! also included in the photos is a precious finish by my friend jackie peters. she created the most darling stitch book (you know i love a stitch book!) with loads of fun little scraps and goodies and the felt applique she used is FAB!
